English version - Cake Carrots, Hazelnut, Almond, Cinnamon


A cake with what ? Carrots ? Yes, it's with impatience and a pleasant memory for my taste buds that today I share with you one of the Pierre Hermé's recipes (a famous cook in France) ! The marriage of the tastes hazelnut, almond, cinnamon, enhanced by the perfect texture given by the carrot (eventually we don't taste their flavour, they are here to structure the texture of the cake) is an alliance which will have her little success.
INGREDIENTS :
250 g greated carrots
50 g flour
1 bag of baking powder (~ 10g)
2 eggs
60 g hazelnut powder
70 g almond powder
70 g powdered sugar
30 g brown sugar
25 mL oil
1 pinch of salt
1 pinch of cinnamon powdered
PREPARATION :
- Preheat oven to 356 degrees F (180 degrees C) .
- Beat the eggs with sugar.
- Add flour, baking powder, hazelnut and almond powders, salt.
- Mix, and then add oil, cinnamon et greated carrots.
- Butter a springform pan, sprinckle its bottom with brown sugar.
- Bake for about 40 minuts with checking the cooking with a wooden stick.
