King's Cake

Airy, crispy, shiny and containing a little secret that everyone wish find in a gourmand bite : The King's Cake is a priority in the forst days of january, to begin the year with pleasure and surprise.
Here's the basic recipe, unfailable and delicious. Of course, there is few variants which will arrived soon on this webiste.
Ingredients :
- 2 pâtes feuilletées pur beurre
- 2 eggs
- 1 egg yolk to glaze the pastry
- 125g of almond powder
- 125g of brown sugar
- 125g of soft butter
- 1 bean
Preparation :
- Mix the sugar, the almond powder and the soft butter.
- Add the eggs one by one with stirring between every add.
- On the baking sheet covered with a baking paper, put the first dough. Brush with water the outer contour on 2 cm.
- Spread the cream and press the bean in it.
- Recover the preparation with the second dough and seal the two doughs by pressing around the edges.
- Mix the egg yolk with a water tablespoon and baste the half on the cake with a brush.
- Place the cake 30 minuts in the fridge.
- Preheat the oven to 410 degrees F (210°C).
- With the rest of egg yolk, glaze the cake again and draw the pattern wished with the point of a knife.
- Put in the oven for 35/40 minuts to 338 degrees F (170°C or th. 5 - 6).
