Almond Tiles
Who has never love eating delicious almond tiles ? This crunchy greed give a good reason for great deserts and for breaks, for gourmet on his own or accompagnied. Here is a recipe found in the french magazine Vital Food, tested et approuved by us !

Ingredients : for 20 tiles
- 30 g of butter
- 20 g of flour
- 80 g of sugar
- 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
- 125 g of silvered almonds
- 2 or 3 egg whites (70 g)
- 1 salt pinch
Preparation
- Melt the butter and let it cool.
- Preheat oven to 356 degrees F (180 degrees C) .
- Mix egg whites with a fork, then add flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt. Mix well and add the butter with constant whipling and then add silvered almonds.
- On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, put tablespoons of the dough. Spread out evenly with the back of a spoon into 4 to 5 cm diameter circles, very fin. Spaced them out.
- Put in the oven for 10 minuts to 356 degrees F (180 degrees C) until the tiles are golden. Take them out from the baking sheet immediatly with a trowel and place them on a bottle or a rollin pin (I've tried the two of them, the best is the rolling pin beacuse it gives the tiles a real rounded shape, but the bottle works too if you have lots of tiles to cool. Specifics mould at shops).
- Let cool, before delicately take them off.

To protect the tiles from moisture, you can put them in airtight box. If they are softened, you can put them few minuts in the oven for crusting again.
